Trained as a mathematician, she devoted herself to this special form of art not only as a decorator, but also as the collector and classifier of patterns known in Hungarian-speaking areas.
Her exhibitions feature about a thousand decorated eggs from Gyimes, Sárköz and other regions. The latest display includes pieces from Somogy County and Poland.
Ildikó Fekete is a Junior Prima Prize winning artist, a Young Master of Folk Art who received the Hungarian Artisan Excellence Award and the Pomegranate Prize. In 2017 she was elected into the 50 Talented Hungarian Young Persons programme.

The exhibition is on view between 7–30 April.

This event of the Budapest Spring Festival is jointly presented by Budapest Festival and Tourism Centre and Duna Palota.
