The Little Mole and His Friends
Exhibition with animated films and playhouse
Zdeněk Miler, animated film director and artist was born in Kladno in 1921. His film career began during the war in the Zlín film studio, then from 1945 he continued his work in Prague in the studio of Jiří Trnka. He became famous both at home and abroad for the Little Mole series that still enjoys great popularity. More than fifty episodes have been produced. An interesting feature of the series is that there is no spoken dialogue, Little Mole and his friends communicate with various sounds and noises that the director created from a recording made of his daughters Kateřina and Barbora. Original images by Zdeněk Miler, cartoons and various Little Mole products can be seen in the exhibition.
Open between 20–29 March from 10.00 am until 6.00 pm.
